Acumentive is a cutting-edge developer of Industrial IoT enterprise solutions with a specific focus on the use of BLE beacons/technology to accurately monitor and track assets within large enterprises. Our solutions, currently active in the UK and across the US, are set for explosive growth. We have just opened our new office at the Knowledge Gateway at the University of Essex where we are looking to recruit a team of people to support this growth and build evolving solutions for this rapidly emerging new market.

Working as part of the distributed development team on our next generation IoT Sensing Platform, you will be our Test Lead and take on an increasingly important role within Dev Ops. You will develop automated test capability throughout, championing testing culture, tooling and processes, develop automated testing to support continuous integration and provide a central fulcrum of guidance and leadership within the business on software test automation.

Essential experience:

  • Visual Studio Professional, C#, .Net framework
  • Strong ability to read, understand and debug C# code
  • Analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills
  • Controlled, logical approach to testing and constructing testing approaches
  • Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
  • Understanding of DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of cloud automation (alerting, scaling, runbooks)
  • Excellent English skills, verbal and written

Mobile App Developer

Acumentive’s SaaS platform is a cutting-edge Industrial IoT locating and tracking solution, using Industrial BLE tags enabling clients to track and manage business-critical tools and equipment across their operations. We have established clients in the UK, have secured our first US client and are planning for explosive growth.

Our new office at the Knowledge Gateway, University of Essex is set to be an additional hub of creativity, where we are building a new development team. Working within a wider, highly experienced development team on our next generation IoT Locating Platform, you will play a key role in our Mobile Development activities– reporting directly to the CTO.

Essential experience:

• Minimum one-year experience with Xamarin and Xamarin Forms
• At least three years’ mobile development experience for Android and iOS
• Excellent understanding of App build and deployment, to Play and Apple stores
• App Lifecycles
• Strong knowledge of .NET frameworks and be proficient in C#
• Analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills
• Have excellent mind for abstraction and code reuse
• Able to write clean, readable and maintainable code
• Be familiar with design and architectural patterns, such as MVVM, MVC etc.
• Able to interact with APIs, including REST patterns, OAuth
• Have experience in implementing and using test-driven development (TDD) practices
• Be proficient with Git, including pull requests, able to deal with merge conflicts
• Excellent English skills, verbal and written

• Bluetooth (BLE)
